It's in your hands

Don't let one problem, difficulty, situation, or trouble get in the way of moving forward. Everyone experiences many different things in life, but that doesn't mean that not everyone can move forward and pursue a future they've always dreamed of. It may be a far from reach, it may need a lot of hard work, it may be silly, it may be random, it may be almost impossible in one's eyes, but one needs to think differently. I'm not saying that anyone can achieve anything, because in reality that's not possible. What I'm saying is that one shouldn't like one thing bring them down, impact their life so negatively and so greatly that they just lose sight of their dreams, hopes, and aspirations. One thing shouldn't stop you from moving forward in life, one thing shouldn't make it seem like it's the end of the world. Everyone can overcome any problem they face as long as they have the mindset to. Everyone can strive for a successful and bright future. You may not be a super genius, but you are human. A human hoping, dreaming and striving without letting anything get in their way, and having a mindset to keep moving forward in life. A human who will not let one thing stop the incredible journey in life ahead of them. You are in control of your future.

BART

This past summer I've traveled to San Francisco and Berkeley several times through the most reliable transportation and least expensive way- BART. Every time I witness something interesting, something new, something strange. As you just sit there on BART there's really not much to do but observe your surroundings. Realize how diverse your surroundings are. There's the man who falls asleep after a long day at work, the couple who cannot take their eyes nor their lips off of each other, the family who just finished watching a baseball game, a teenager staring at their phone as if it's their best friend, a woman quietly reading a book, and so many other people doing different things. BART is always busy, always alive, always full of people from different cities, countries, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Though the BART stations aren't the prettiest, there are unusual smells everywhere, the seats are not the cleanest, and there are a lot of the less fortunate around, BART is actually a beautiful place and a reliable, Eco-friendly form of transportation. It's beautiful because each day it carries hundreds or even thousands of people from all over the place to different parts of the Bay Area therefore representing diversity. There is no special seating or "first-class" on BART so it equalizes everyone and follows the "all men are created equal" amendment. On BART everyone is in a sense all in the same "class" and shares a common form of transportation. Whether they're a wealthy businessman or a jobless man looking for a job, everyone is treated fairly and everyone shares this opportunity to "breath the same air" to all be "under the same roof" experiencing and witnessing the same things, the same lifestyle even if it's for a small amount of time. Personally, always being out and about and riding BART several times a month, and being surrounded by so many people, strangers, from who knows what part of the world, has really impacted my life. That person on BART who I randomly sat next to yesterday strangely impacted a tiny part of my life without really doing anything. Odd isn't it? There's way more to this, but BART is a beautiful form of transportation that has really impacted my perspective on life.

All or nothing

No matter how much you are facing or going through don't lose sight of WHY you are doing everything you do. It may seem like a lot and extremely overwhelming at times but keep going. If you start something, finish it, finish strong. You chose to do what you do for a reason right? You shouldn't be forcing yourself to do something if you have no drive, passion, or care about it, or even because someone else is doing it, or telling you to do it. Keep doing YOU, what you love, and work hard at it. Don't give up, don't give in, don't slack and give everything your 110% because there's no half assing your way through life.
